How do I know whether I should go to the Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center or the Emergency Room?

What conditions do you treat?

Holy Cross Urgent Care treats a wide variety of non-life threatening conditions.

What are your hours?

The Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center is open seven days a week: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Imaging services, including CT scans, MRIs, digital x-rays and ultrasounds, are offered Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Are you open on holidays?

The Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center (all locations) is open 365 days a year, including holidays.

Do I need an appointment?

  • You do not need an appointment to be treated for illnesses and injuries at the Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center. You can just walk in!
  • Appointments are available for imaging services.
  • You do need an appointment for occupational testing (employment physicals, drug tests, etc.). Please call 954-764-6646 (Fort Lauderdale) or 561-347-7933 (Boca Raton) to make an appointment. 

How long will it take for me to receive medical care?

On average, patients who visit the Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center are in and out within an hour. Some visits may take longer during busier times. In comparison, patients who visit the emergency room wait an average of 4 hours. 

Can the Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center replace a family physician?

The Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center does not act as a substitute for a family physician. We encourage everyone to have a physician who can be their primary caregiver. You can find a Holy Cross Medical Group physician online here.

Do you accept insurance?

The Holy Cross Urgent Care and Imaging Center accepts many major insurance plans, most insurance plans are accepted. Please call 954-764-6646 (Fort Lauderdale) or 561-347-7933 (Boca Raton) for confirmation.

What do I need to bring with me when I come to the Urgent Care and Imaging Center?

On your visit to our Urgent Care and Imaging Center, please bring your photo ID, prescription (for imaging appointments only) and your insurance card.
