Holy Cross Hospital Increases Patient Empowerment through MyHealth Patient Portal

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (August 4, 2014) – Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale and the Holy Cross Medical Group are giving patients convenient access to their medical records and educational materials through a convenient online tool.

With a current email address and valid driver’s license, patients can enroll at the MyHealth patient portal to gain direct access to records such as lab results, imaging reports, patient stays in Holy Cross Hospital and visits to physicians in the Holy Cross Medical Group.

Patients may view, print and download records for one or more visits in a plain text format compatible with most word processing programs. They may also download records into a non-editable continuum of care document formatted to be shared with other healthcare providers.

Educational information related to the patient’s medical history is also available. Provided with direct access to information, patients are encouraged to become better informed about their health and take an active role in their health care.

MyHealth is not designed to handle emergencies or provide medical advice, and patients will need to contact healthcare providers in those situations.
